Historial center

Although Porto has been modernized in recent decades, its historic centre, which has been awarded the title of World Heritage Site by UNESCO, preserves all its charm intact. Walking through its narrow streets, one can admire the more traditional stone constructions and imposing buildings, such as the Sé do Porto. In addition, visitors can still admire part of the wall that formerly protected the city. Today, the Carvão Gate and the Barredo Tower are still preserved on the Fernandine Wall, in addition to the stretch of wall known as Trecho dos Guindais, restored at the beginning of the 20th century.
